Size, margins and colour: small details that save you a reprint.
Most print problems start with the file. Check these points before sending your design.
1. The right size
Design at the exact final size (e.g. a 9 × 5 cm card or A5 for a flyer).
2. Bleed
Add 3 mm on every side if the background runs to the edge.
3. Safe margin
Keep text and logos far enough from the edge so they aren’t trimmed.
4. Colour
Use CMYK for print, and expect screen colours to differ slightly from paper.
5. Resolution
Images should be at least 300 DPI so they don’t print blurry.
6. Fonts
Convert fonts to outlines or send them with the file.
